How to install Oracle Enterprise Linux 6 ?

Hi everyone, In this post I will show you how to install Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.4 using VMware.
For this installation, you will require the below software:

1. VMware Player or Workstation
2. Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.4  x86_64

I assume you have installed and already created a virtual machine for installing OEL 6. If not please refer this post on how to create a virtual machine before proceeding further:

NOTE:
You can use any vm emulator software instead of VMware like virtual box or Oracle VM or VM server

STEPS:

1. Press "Skip"

2. Press "Next"

3. Select your language and Press "Next"

4. select your keyboard system and Press "Next"

5. Select "Basic Storage Device" and Press "Next"

6. Choose "Yes, discard any data". BTW this will not format anything on your pc.

7. Name you host machine. Press "Next"

8. Choose your Time region. Press "Next"

9. Set your ROOT password. Press "Next"

10. Choose as shown. Press "Next"

11. Choose "Desktop" and Press "Next"

12. wait for the installation to complete

13. Once completed. press "Reboot" to reboot the VM.
