How to enable Network access in Linux

Today I am gonna show you how to configure your network in Oracle Linux.
I assume you have created a brand new virtual machine running Oracle Linux OS in it.
By default, the virtual machine will have the network (internet access) as disconnected.
So you will have to manually turn it ON. It is a simple process and I have given the steps via
screenshots which is totally understandable.
You will need ROOT password for this step:

STEPS:

1. go to SYSTEM > PREFERENCE >NETWORK CONNECTIONS

2. Select the name of the connection and press "EDIT"

3. Notice the "Connect Automatically" check box is unchecked

4. Check the box "Connect Automatically"

 5. The System will prompt you to enter the ROOT password

6. Enter the ROOT password to confirm the changes and press "Authenticate"

7. check your IP in a new terminal by using the command "ifconfig"
