Oracle SOA Suite Installation part 4 - Creating / Extending the Domain

Since I already created a Domain with the containing only an Admin Server. In this post I will be showing you how to extend the domain without creating more domains but adding more Managed Servers to the existing Domain

This post will tell you how to create or extend your domain to include SOA servers. I will be creating only SOA server and i will not be including any other servers like BAM, Before you proceed further, be sure to do the below two activities:
  1. start Database Listener
  2. start the database
STEPS:

1. Go to the location: <SOA_HOME>/common/bin and run the file "config.sh"

2. Wait for the SOA Domain Installer to initialize

3. If you are going to create a domain or extend your existing domain, please choose the appropriate choice.

4. I am going with the option of "Extending my Domain"

5. Choose the following check boxes

 6. Press "Next"

7. Select all the check boxes and fill up the appropriate Host name, Port and Schema password. Before you Press "Next". Make sure you have started the database or else the next step will fail.

8. This step will fail if you have not started the database or filled any parameters with incorrect values or have not installed the right version of the RCU schemas. If everything is successful, then Press "Next"

9. Press "Next"

10. Press "Next"

11. Press "Next"

12. Under the Node Manager, choose "all local address" and Press "Next"

13. Press "Next"

14. Press "Extend"

15. Wait for the installation to complete

 16. Press "Done"

This post concludes the extension of Domain to accommodate SOA Servers.
